Welcome To Stewart Island
The first day of your new life begins with a flight from Auckland to Stewart Island. Your Weddingmoon is underway. Leaving in the morning you will fly to Christchurch, then on to Invercargill, where the Stewart Island Flights team will be ready to take you to paradise.
Stewart Island Flights is a locally owned and operated business and their attention to detail, customer service, and your safety are of top priority. The flight itself takes 20 minutes, taking you past World Record holder Burt Munro's test track on Oreti Beach. This is where he tested his Indian Scout Motorcycle, the inspiration for the movie "The World's Fastest Indian". You will then fly past New Zealand's southernmost mainland town, Bluff. Finally landing in Oban on Rakiura (Stewart Island) the largest island National Park in New Zealand, with approximately 85% of the land reserved as Department of Conservation land.
Upon arrival, a courtesy van will meet and transfer you to the depot in Halfmoon Bay. A representative from your accommodation will be there to meet you and take you to your accommodation.

Welcome Dinner with your Hosts
There is no better way to start your Weddingmoon than a shared dining experience. You will enjoy a sumptuous meal, provided by "The Perfect Dinner Stewart Island Moveable Feast, owned by Annette Eiselt" with your hosts at their place of accommodation, overlooking the vistas of Stewart Island. The meal itself features fresh local seafood, such as Stewart Island Blue Cod and Big Glory Oysters, with homegrown vegetables and herbs.
Top this off with some wine, or if you prefer, beer and gorgeous desert, while enjoying good conversation and soaking in the sunset from the balcony.
